Help identifying bar tape

Ignore the comment about not using yellow tape. Black is a bit dull, and an alternate colour matching your bike colour scheme can brighten it up and look good.

I've gone back to black tape on all my road bikes. Fits in with black saddles - again the only colour.

...which is why I always carry some disposable gloves.

You wear mechanics gloves when dealing with mechanicals. Been doing this for years and keeps hands clean.

A while ago I did some work on a friend's bike. She had white bar tape and a white saddle. I was oh so careful to avoid the white tape, finished the work, took the bike off the stand and put a big mucky print on the bar tape in so doing. So I cleaned it off, but now I had a pristine white patch and the rest of the tape was grubby grey. So I cleaned the whole side. Then I had to do the other side to match. And of course the saddle too. So my friend got a free bike valet thrown in with the free mechanical work.

I have red/black camo tape on my bike. Doesn't show the dirt. Also doesn't show the bits of black electrical tape that are there to repair patches of damage.

Why the perforations in the tapes shown here?
They look like my sports shirt, only that is to seep the water fruit of my effort out, not in.

bright colours will get grubby over time, a good scrub with kitchen wipes does clean them up a bit
