I get really sad when a band/tour T-shirt becomes so worn it gets demoted to bike cleaning.
I feel the same. I get a bit sad when the favourite old shirt that had a terribly frayed collar eventually gets consigned to the rag cupboard under the kitchen sink.
ask for old white cotton vests at a charity shop, people hand them in but they don't resell them, probably fill you a bag up for a couple of quid.
Round here in London, people leave clothes outside the charity shops after they have closed. People pick over them for a while. I'm sure that, later in the evening, there would be stuff left over for chain cleaning.

Well you could try my method @Pat "5mph"

I wash all my dirty cloths in the machine while my wife is at work.
Then when she gets home and realising ive been at the LG the fight starts.
Lots of shouting and abuse ,birth certificate needs checking etc.

Then when she calms down and we reach the silence stage " i like to spread the pain out" i tell her i tumbled them too:boxing::laugh::hyper:
