Okay - the definitive update re the BOA Li2 CS1 option - BOA provide a lifetime warranty. Contact them, answer some questions and include some images and they, BOA, will send you a replacement kit - featuring two new dials - left and right, and two new laces. In my case, the replacement kit arrived within 5 days. However, as I found, if you have large / wide feet - best to cut your laces between 11 - 12cm, rather than the 8 - 10cm as recommended by BOA. Also, when creating the knot for the lace - make sure you do it close to the end of the lace otherwise you will be effectively 'reducing' your lace by up to 1.5cm - this is where I messed up first time around! There is a very good YT video (

*There is a BOA Li2 CS2 version also.
