I get where you are coming from - me too!I guess I'm a bit different to most Zwift users in that I find the community side of the app to be off-putting. By choice and preference I'm a rather solitary rider in real life and the sheer number of other users on Zwift is rather distracting. One thing though, it has sparked my competitive nature and I find trying to catch the rider in front almost irresistible (if often unachievable)![]()

I ended up paying for a TrainingPeaks sub to use TrainingPeaks Virtual. I am spending my time free riding round a landscape there with no other riders at all. At some point I will create my own private events, not tell anyone about them, but allow a few bots to ride with me so I have riders to chase.
The first Tuesday of the month is always free so why not give it a blast on January 6th?I've got TPV on my list of indoor apps to try but haven't got around to downloading it yet.

It has a feature called 'Cruise Control' which I really like. It is like Erg Mode in that you choose a power that you would like to ride at and then just spin at whatever cadence you like to achieve that power. The difference is that you can increase or decrease that power level at any time. I might ride along on the flat at (say) 160 W, but nudge that target up to 180 W for gentle climbs, or 200 W for steeper ones, then drop it to 120-130 W to recover on descents. That's good intel, thanks. I've made a note in my diary![]()
