When was it agreed that slowing someone down a bit meant they could have their safety threatened?

Certainly didn't sound like someone fearing for his life. "I've got it all on dash cam as well", wonder why he dropped that line into the 999 call.

The damage to his car superficial, neck and back pain possible but unlikely.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was deliberate from the car driver. Or maybe dash cams have the same antagonistic bellend creating properties as helmet cams.

Good to know it's perfectly acceptable for me to deliberately endanger someone's life just because they are driving badly.
I haven't read anywhere that it's perfectly acceptable. However IMHO the car driver did contribute to his own fate in this instance by his bad driving.

If I decided to, say, deliberately pay slowly at a till in a supermarket, am I contributing to my fate if the person behind swings a baseball bat near my head in frustration?

I'm impressed by what he expects from the police. He calls them to report an incident on the motorway, and then expects a high speed chase to apprehend the miscreant. This is all before they have seen the footage. He makes it clear neither he nor his vehicle have sustained any serious injury "I will keep following him". I am glad the police were busy doing more important things.

This seems a definite 101 situation, and no need for an emergency response.

People often confuse possible consequence with just deserts.

It should come as no surprise to anyone living in the real world that by antagonising somebody, there is a likelihood of a response. Whether that response is lawful or justified is another matter, but the fact that someone may react to a deliberate act of provocation can be foreseen.
