Interesting reading, showing how some things have changed (such as all the road signs!) - other things pretty much the same. Notable in the 1954 edition is rule 48:
I actually cut my teeth on the 1954 edition, it was the one in force when my parents insisted I learn it by heart before they let me out on a bike. So all very familiar stuff to me!
The 1931 one has some amusing stuff for horse-and-cart drivers.
