Off on holiday soon and it's book buying time still being new to cycling and reading books could do with some help in choosing some reading material cycling related of course :becool:

David Millar - racing through the dark.

I haven;t read many cycling books, but I enjoyed that - explained well about his doping and his current anti-doping efforts.

I really like Michael Barry's prose although his new book ("Shadows on the Road") felt a touch on the exploitative side to me. A disappointment but not a surprise that he doped given his history (US Postal etc). He is a talented rider and writer too but I had a nagging feeling that it was a bit too easy a "mea culpa, now buy my book". Having said that it clearly had a profound effect on him... and who am I to judge...

Sean Kelly - Hunger - ace especially when imagining him reading it in his indecipherable accent (torty-tree kilometres to go)

The Death of Marco Pantani - Matt Rendell

David Millar - racing through the dark.

I haven;t read many cycling books, but I enjoyed that - explained well about his doping and his current anti-doping efforts.

Yep, I agree - a really good read
