I bought the same paint in Feb 24 & ½ of it was used; the remainder has been in the shed for two winters & two summers, plus last months heat, and was perfectly fine when I checked it yesterday.
Oh well. She's dumped it and had to a new one.
TIP: If you're changing a kitchen or bathroom tap that comes with a new drain plug, get yourself a "Thomas Dudley waste seal kit".

It will save you a big headache with leaks under the sink. No need for silicone sealant and PTFE tape. These things should come supplied as standard with all new sink drains!

Use them every time, sometimes the new drain plug can be a bit short though.

Don't you start..... most of that was from last time. Might take the jet wash extension to them.
Busy next week,a skip coming,shed going, garage,shed and greenhouse and anything else we can get rid of is going in it,including my dads painters ladders,and i am 76,i used to climb them ,i did the 'high' work.New shed coming week after.then going to make a raised bed.

In building a horse shelter ATM it's a stable job!

One of the CCTV camera's has been playing up. It's a wired NVR camera set up that then links to the network and can be viewed over the web. Initially the problem was intermittent but it's every "day time". Seems the IR sensor isn't switching off, so the picture becomes washed out during the day, like it's over exposed. Powering it down will sometimes clear it, but it comes back. Used replacement bought off ebay. The replacement camera had been used indoors in an 'escape room' so it's in excellent condition. Quick 15 minute job including drilling the head off two corroded screws to get the old camera off the wall.

Crikey - that's bad service IMHO.
A 'snippet' of my experience with paints.........
oil based paints will last almost indefinitely if unopened or well sealed - A tekaloid 4.5L tin of Tractol enamel paint had languished in my garage for 30 years, and I opened it for the first time 2 years ago. It took a LOT of stirring, but was perfectly ok and gave an excellent finish. In the Winter of 2012/13 we had some very low temperatures and during the following Spring I noticed a tin of paint was stuck to a shelf - A tin of B&Q emulsion paint had frozen during the Winter and split the plastic container. Due to the low temperature it hadn't leaked much out of the 'tin' and had subsequently solidified on drying and stuck to the shelf. If I'd had another handy container it might have been possible to salvage some of the paint, but I binned it! Possibly should have kept some for colour matching.

Work is quiet at the moment as everyone finishes their marking. Having finished mine a couple of weeks ago there's a gap between then and exam boards that I usually take some days off to ride the bike but the forecast is

I've been helping my friend out for the last few weeks - his front garden was a very steep upward slope so he had a retaining wall built close to the house, and we've levelled off the rest. That involved digging 4 post holes into solid slate (we could have done with a large core drill) but we got there eventually to do a smaller retainer made from posts and concrete gravel boards.
We are now on the back garden, same deal but bigger. A builder has done a 7ft high retaining wall with sides, so we are now transporting bags of soil/hardcore to fill up the pit which looks more like a swimming pool. Luckily there were 3 randomly placed concrete slabs which we have broken up, so that is currently filling up most of the level before we put soil down.
We are now on the back garden, same deal but bigger. Oh bagger bagger bagger.i was up early 07-00 to get dinner prepped,lamb shanks broccoli spuds cauliflower.Breafast for both of us.Then out in the garden to oil the bench and arbour,the thing that goes over the bench.Well split it in to three parts,bench first,main frame legs of arbour then lattice work,two bottles of linseed oil,well it got gobbled up and i could not do the lattice work,so i now have to get some more and that adds a day to the job.DIY plans do not run smooth.
