Kippers are the business... but not with hot cross buns, of course. I put them in kedgeree, or eat them on their own

love hot cross buns, cold with butter on, toasted and buttered and even with a dab of jam if the mood takes me.

At the other end of the spectrum, I absolutely loathe the smell of Kippers horrible smelly things that seem to stink the house out for days...............my Mrs loves them.

I've just bought some hot cross buns. I didn't buy any bacon but I did by some smoked mackerel.

I will give feedback on mackerelled hot cross buns tomorrow.
