Just had an extraordinary conversation with a colleague in the kitchen at work who was appalled to find that I take my breakfast Shredded Wheat with hot milk, and I mean properly appalled. I contend it is inedible with cold. With cornflakes I swing both ways, hot milk in winter cold in summer, but shredded wheat, for me has to be hot milk, just as weetabix has to be cold.

What say you cc-ers.....?

Cold milk on cereal, always, even if it is -20C outside.

Although I don't eat eat shredded wheat. Might as well tuck into a bale of hay imho.

My preference is cold on shredded wheat, hot or cold on weetabix but normally cold as I cannot be arsed to heat the milk up.
Ready Brek with cold milk is far better than Ready Brek with hot milk, although my other half disagrees but she mixes butter on her Ready Brek.

Seasonal rather than cereal for me. Cold milk in summer, warm in winter. But I am less likely to have corn flakes in winter, so less likely to have warm milk with corn flakes. Truth told, I'm more likely to have porridge in winter - and that's made with water.

I make my porridge with milk.

Hmm... weetabix, hot in winter, cold in summer, ditto with shredded wheat, cornflakes usually cold, very occasionally hot in winter. However, on 95% of mornings, i eat porridge, which is always hot, made with water, but with cold milk poured on top.
These things are important.

i'm happy to take either or on any cereal and i do mean any. hot milk on cocoa pops? no worries. hot milk on crunchy nut cornflakes? sweet. equally tasty with cold milk.
in the winter my parents used to give us hot milk to warm us up in the morning on our cereal, hmm toasty.
