Just had our offer accepted on a house. Ticks most boxes and those it doesn't can be remedied. The cycle storage will be in detached brick built garage. It needs some windows bricking up and a better door fitting but i'm happy with it. The house is at the end of a very quiet cul de sac as well.

Any suggestions for fixings into a concrete floor I can run my locks through? I can pour new concrete rather than drill if needed.
Hardie anchors are very good, I know Almax sell them plus another anchor which is even better.

I am a bit OTT about security, but it is discrete.

Garage has an up and over door, a wooden side door and a single glazed window. Both the side door and window were beefed up internally with bars secured to the frame and surrounding brick - only visible from the garden. The up and over has a heavy duty hasp lock as well as a shoot bolt in addition to the pathetic lock they come with.

Inside the bikes are mostly d-locked to the floor - or cable locked to wall mounts.

That said, someone did try to get into my garage last year, removed the glass from the window, but was met by the window bars. Didn't get any further. I did, however add additional bars and a shed alarm.

I can't get my best bike replaced - it's custom built and the chap that built it for me is no longer with us.

My bikes are stored hanging up high in the little tunnel / alleyway between my house and them next door, there's a yale locked gate on the pavement end and no feasible way of getting into my garden at the other end. If thieves can get the bikes down and out of the gate past the girl's buggy without swearing and skinning themselves they're doing better than I.

Pragmasis 16mm chains and their Torc anchor ar the equal of the Almax ones - both are utterly bombproof. I've not dealt with Almax having given my business to Pragmasis, but Pragmasis' customer service is excellent and thry can give you some great advice on how best to secure your bike. I found them extremely helpful. They are also British and their chains are British made.

I already have two Abus Granit City Chain X Plus locks which are my main means of securing my bikes. The Torc anchor from Pragmasis looks the biz to run one of these through. Thanks.
