I sense we're starting to go round in circles, indulging in point scoring and drifting off the issue.

You're trying to shoot the messenger. Forget what you think of me, that doesn't matter. Until you focus on the issue without distorting it (I see that drops are only part of the problem anyway), you aren't, I'm afraid, contributing anything positive.
Seriously? "Don't shoot the messenger" means don't shoot the person carrying the message, your problem is with the originator of the message.

So if that's not you, who is it? Or do you think you have spoken some fundamental truth?

OK then Cruiser, How can we avoid cycling casualties? (other than not riding bikes with drop handlebars) - what's the answer?

And several people have pointed out that your advice is wrong. You claimed most RTCS involving cyclists could have been avoided had the cyclist behaved differently, whether it be the drop handlebar stuff you made up, having lights, hi vis, road positioning. Now that you know this is not true, you have accepted that you were wrong and gracefully conceded the point. Oh. No you haven't. You've completely ignored it, because you're a cowardly lying troll.

Remove the 22.8% of vehicles using the roads illegally. Their owners and drivers have shown their contempt for the law. In doing so you'll send a stronger message to those who are contemplating following them.
No more pleading it will cause hardship if they can no longer drive. I'm appearring in front of a licencing committe to say why I feel a private hire driver, with 39 points on his licence should be allowed to continue driving. He's actually due back in court next month, for more points.
Isn't the legal limit 12?
