Sometimes if you go to the image on flickr, right click and select properties you see a strange URL address that will not work. For example, something like the following: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28767762@N03/4144064366/ which you know wont work because it doesn't end .jpg (for example).

When this happens, I right click on the smaller image instead, select properties and get a link that looks something like: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2594/4144064366_088f73f5d4_m.jpg But when I embed that in my post I get something like the following which is too small:
4144064366_088f73f5d4_m.jpg

To get the larger image I just remove the _m so the link looks something like: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2594/4144064366_088f73f5d4.jpg which seems to give me what I want

flickr's terms of use say that you must link to your photo page not just link the pic.

Easiest way to do this is;

1) Go to your photo page.

2) Click the "All Sizes" link

3) Choose the size you want to post.

4) Select the html in the "Option 1" box under the picture.

It will look like this;
HTML:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/john_the_monkey/4490338199/" title="Another from this morning's #30DaysOfBiking ride. I saw no amphibians though. by John the Monkey, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4039/4490338199_de07fb9d11_o.jpg" width="648" height="486" alt="Another from this morning's #30DaysOfBiking ride. I saw no amphibians though." /></a>
5) change it to look like this;
HTML:

If you've got the URL - just click the insert image icon -
insertimage.gif
-
and type/paste the URL of your photo ... :biggrin:
