I have just bought a bike and esigned the finance agreement. It was just a case of clicking in the appropriate box when asked so maybe something similar?

When someone reversed into the side of our car we had protracted wranglings with a company called Drive Assist
My wife was aked to sign on a PDA, and when asked to see what she was signing was told she did not need to, so she "signed" ..... " I have not been allowed to read the terms"

Weeks later we objected to the three weeks that the car sat on our drive waiting to be collected being part of the bill. THe insurance company agreed and We wrer then billed as the car was in "our care" for this time..... then despite being checked by their agent, we were then billed a few weeks later for a dented wing that they claim had been there when picked up - it wasn't

The documentation they sent us explained how we had accepted the terms, and in the space was the "signature" that my wife had signed stating she had not been allowed to read them..... especially in view of a recent case:

Drive assist and electronic signature

Solved a lot of issues for us and the company dropped everything eventually

No surprise when the Company and both scams appeared on "Watchdog"

When you sign for something digitally, is that signature then handled by the company you sign to? Doesn't seem particularly secure.
