How early are you allowed to start banging??

we weren't allowed to get the mixer going/drill/saw/hammer until it was 08.00.

08.00 -17.00 Monday to Saturday and never on a Sunday sounds about right.

I make all the noise I want at any time of the day or night, but there again my nearest neighbour is about 1/2 mile away

Maybe worth having a chat with him as he might not have realised the early hour and that everyone including the lark was still asleep.

He's done it before, and I think that's the best remedy if he does it again!

I don't think he does it maliciously, I think he just doesn't think before acting!

nothing wrong with 6.30. It shows willing. And decent folk are out of bed before that time.....

Our neighbours do this - they drill and hoover at inappropriate times, but then ask us not to make noise too late because they have a small child (work that one out?!?)

When they occassionally apologise for the noise I politely remind them (with some humour) that we have an accordion and euphonium in our house and are not afraid to use them...

We have a house and the house next door has been made in to flats so there living room is bang next to our bedroom, our new neighbours who moved in over a year a go now, were party animals up till all hours doing god knows what, we had a small baby in our bedroom with us and werent getting much sleep anyway topped by them making a lot of noise it was too much to bear, we were nackered!
Early one Sunday morning (after a bad night) we set our stereo up facing there wall and cranked it up very loud......heehee!!!

The best bit is, now they have quietened down and are having a baby of there own ......now shall I be so cruel as to give them some of there own medicine , eh no I doubt it I have better things to do. It is tempting though!
