How far have you swum this year?

About seven strokes when I came off my bodyboard in Cornwall. It was enough.

I can't believe I haven't been for a proper swim at all this year. I did a few lengths at an open air campsite pool when I was cycle touring in August and it was bliss.

45 minutes fast front crawl this morning. Usually go 2 or 3 times a week.

Furthest I've ever swum is 1.2 miles in a 20 metre pool. That was quite dull. Luckily someone else was counting the lengths.

This year - nothing. Shame as I love swimming and am a strong open-water swimmer, but my days of 20 hours a week triathlon training are behind me.

My pool is 25m which makes swimming for a long time totally boring. I asked them to put the music on, but when they do it is so quiet it's like overhearing someone's iPod, no discernable tune, could even be the radio for all i can tell!

I guess I have covered more than 10 miles this year.

you can't hear the music when you've got your head underwater anyway, so you only hear 1 bar in 2...

80 lengths or so 3 times a week (more if it was raining and didnt go out on the bike) up to August (when I left the job that was near the leisure centre), now... none.
