There is every chance your bike will wear out before your Schwalbe Marathons will.

I have noticed that a lot of suppliers are fitting Schwalbe tyres as standard now. That shows how good they are.

Weird, I generally only get 3000 miles out of the ones on Bromptons. And I really know when they're done, they squirm about for about 100 mile before the blue appears.

Brommies, in my experience, are hard on rear tyres.

Strictly, the Schwalbe tyre for a Brompton is a Marathon, not a Marathon Plus, so it doesn't have the extra puncture protection.

Which might be why I had two punctures on mine.

I wonder if a Tannus solid tyre would be a good solution for a Brompton, on the back if not the front.

My heavy commuter with 700x35 is M+ shod. I changed the rear at 10000 miles as the tread had worn and it had a bit of a central flat section. Probably would've lasted another few thousand with an increased chance of deflations. The front one is still going strong at 13000 miles, and judging by it's wear I wouldn't be surprised if it hits over 20000 miles before it gets anything like the rears were.
Brommies do wear much faster in my experience too.
