Oh..6am..no way........... (been there - it's hard work - good on you lot who do go out at this un-godly hour)

Radio goes on at 6.45...I usually get out just before/after the news at 7.00am, then on the road by 7.30am..... Next week I'll be lazy..........extra 30 mins after the radio goes on.... it's Xmas.......ish.......

None - I usually wake up just before the alarm goes off (06:20). Down the stables to feed our horse by 6:45 then home for a shower and brekkie before going off to work at 7:30 ish.

Three snoozes on weekdays.

Works Blackberry jovially plays "The Entertainer" about 5 mins into the second snooze on my mobile, and that finally gets me out.

Best at weekends where the Blackberry does it automatically at 06.50. Mrs Cube loves the tune so much you can hear her rushing round the house, searching my jacket pockets/trunkbag, she's so keen to hear the song up close. :hello:

Normally only set the alarm if I have a ferry to catch - trip to work isn't that important. Have woken up between 6:30 and 7:00 most days for most of my working life. It's my job to make first drink of the day for wife - she seems to think its her due for putting up with me for 40 years (so far).

Well I used to snooze for anything between 20-odd minutes (well 2 snoozes, I think they're 9 minutes each) and 6 hours but 3 or 4 months ago I decided to just get straight up when the alarm goes off and 6 and actually managed to stick to it.

It's taken a decade of trying but I don't do snooze at all, well I often wake up at ten to six and quickly scurry back to sleep but at least I'm not hitting the snooze button on the alarm anymore.

The weekend we're normally a bit more lax (unless we have a urgent reason to get up) and don't set an alarm, I normally wake up every half hour or so from 6 onwards until we decide to get up.

Purveyor of fine nonsense
Once, when I was a student, I set my mate's alarm clock for 3:30am and hid it in his room.

He got me back by spoofing my Uni email account and sending outrageous emails to people!

So I got him back by jumping out at him one breakfast when he thought he was the only one in the house; he threw his piping hot, fresh-made breakfast up into the air.

So he got me back ... etc :hello:

As soon as the first buzzer sounds I'm wide awake and unable to get back to sleep. My wife, on the other hand, says she needs to be eased out of sleep and deliberately sets the alarm for an hour before she actually has to get up, then hits the snooze button every ten minutes. Grrr.
