Weekdays I rarely go to bed before midnight, often later and get up at 06:20, so say 6 hours average.
Weekends pretty much the same, tend to wake early but don't rush to get up before 7.30.

As with CK though, we have our first sprog, currently 8 weeks old. During the week my wife does the best she can not to disturb me when he wakes for feeding/changing as she knows I need the rest for work. At the weekend I take my turn at the changing table

One thing I can't do is go to bed before I'm virtually asleep on me feet, if I'm too awake when I go to bed then I can't drift off and end up in the clock watching state worrying that I won't get enough sleep.

Normally about 5- 6 hrs a night. I can get by on 4 for extended periods with no real ill effects, but do prefer the extra hour.

This week, I've had flu and been sleeping 18 - 20 hours a day for the last 5 days.

I'm lucky that I've never suffered real insomnia apart from the occasional bout of being unable to sleep for decent periods of time. I did work shifts for over seven years that buggered up my sleep patterns and made me quite ill but I've had a normal Monday-Friday 9-5ish job for the last few years and it suits me perfectly. I try to go to bed between 10.30 and 11.30 and tend to drop off quickly, wake for the loo once during the night (like a pensioner :shy:) and wake just before my alarm goes off at 7. I often wake a few times during the night as I have sinus problems/bed sharing issues but can drop off again easily enough, usually after accidentally punching my boyfriend in the face. The poor man

I go to bed at the same time at weekends but sleep in until 9.30-10ish on a Saturday and a bit earlier on a Sunday.

In the week I probably average 7 hours a night, and at weekends will sleep for 10 hours if I can lie-in. If I'm off work I seem to settle into a pattern of sleeping for 9-10 hours. I'm not very good at going to bed early or waking early.

Go to bed usually between 21:30 - 22:30. Get up 04:45.
Like a lot of people with a working routine I tend to wake up just before the alarm sounds. One time I woke 2 or 3 minutes before the alarm sounded 4 days in a row and flicked the switch "OFF". It was only on the 5th night that I saw that I actually had the alarm set for 4:45pm.

I never get enough! I sometimes feel tired during the day but then again that is probably due to the fact that I don't drink caffeine.

Since last weekend:
Saturday night - 2 hours
Sunday night - 2 hours broken sleep
Monday night - nil
Tuesday night - nil
Wednesday night - nil
Thursday night - 1 hour broken sleep
Friday night - 2 hours

I have a sleep problem, I can't get any sleep and in the mornings I am trapped in a groggy waking dream state that exhausts me and leaves me headachey and drained.
Jesus. Seven hours sleep in a week? Unbelievable. (Not that I don't believe you - I do.) You have my sympathy. Can't imagine that. I get a good 7 1/2 hours a night. Used to be able to get by on less, but I can't do it now.

Best sleep is 11 til 2 or 3- I'm awake a lot, so often read for an hour, usually from around 3. Haven't slept through for over a year...

7 to 8 hours during the week.
If I get significantly less than that, I feel lethargic on the ride in to work and struggle when playing football at lunchtime. By the time I cycle home, I'm bloody knackered!

Depends.

Because I am "wrong in the head" I am supposed to get as near to 8 hours 10 minutes as damn it, but it doesn't always work out.

Sometimes when I'm poorly I can thrive on 4-5 hours sleep, others I can spent up to 18 hours a day sleeping. This week I've had insomnia, so I've probably selpt for about 3-4 hours a night.

When I'm "normal", I actually get about 7-8.
