What the blinkin' flip?
My carbon frame, forks and headset cost under half that!!!!!!

I could easily save 46g off me and it would cost me a tenner. And I'd have shorter hair for less wind resistance.

It's too heavy. After buying a couple to experiment on, I replaced the titanium components with beryllium. Hey, it's toxic, but grams is grams. I also replaced the pulley bearings with superconducting floating bearings to reduce friction. Because of this, on my last charity ride I had my people stationed at regular intervals along the route to spray liquid nitrogen over the mech. Finally, anyone familiar with the theory of relativity will know that the mass of an object increases with its velocity (depending on the frame of reference). To prevent this unacceptable phenomenon, I ride as slowly as possible.

Plus the use of Blackchancery font writing on it is just wrong!

Writing? OMG! ;)

Doesn't the paint or transfer or whatever add to the weight? It would be maybe 0.1 grams lighter without the writing.

This font is also too heavy. They should have used Arial or some other San Serif font.

This thread is all a bit pathetic. There are plenty of people in the world who would spend £800 on a bottle of wine. Some of them may be interested in cycling. Some of them may quite fancy a Lightweight rear mech to go with their Lightweight wheels. I don't suppose £800 would even register as a significant amount of money.

The fact that £800 is a lot of money to the rest of us couldn't be less relevant.
