Night Train

Oh, and just to be awkward, sometimes I fall asleep quite quickly but then wake up 2 or 3 hours later and that's that for the night. It's a good thing I'm single.
Awwww :hugs:

You and I have too much in common! (Except for the being single thing.)

I can do the power nap thing. If I am feeling tired in the day I can decide to power nap for 20 minutes and then wake refreshed. But if I try the same thing to get to sleep at night it doesn't work.

About 5-10 mins for me, but often wake a couple of times in the night which really pi**es me off!

In the day time I can fall asleep very quickly, at night it can take ages, I also find I'm awake long before the alarm. The biggest pain is getting up in the night for the toilet, a few weeks ago when I first came out of hospital I was up 3 or 4 times a night I've now got it down to once, but once I've been out of bed I have great difficulty going back to sleep and may not nod off.

I read before going to sleep. Sometimes this takes half an hour. Sometimes until the sun comes up the following morning.

Aww, I'm sure those Janet and John books will get easier to read with some more practice :reading:

I can get to sleep very quickly some times, other times I'll be awake for hours trying to nod off, mainly due to doing stupid shift work that means my body clock is all over the place.

Usually within 2 or 3 minutes for me...once i close my eyes, its quick.
Occasionally its a mare of course, you toss and turn, get jiggy legs, mind starts to go into overdrive...but thankfully thats rare.

is that going to sleep you are on about?

Lucky sods. Must have gone off within half an hour last night, but had taken 4 of these herbal tablets ! Slept through (again a rare thing), but felt rough this morning.

I do this too. I often wake up with my arm hanging out of the bed with a book still in my hand:scratch:

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Varies at some times I seem to have fallen asleep very quickly but other times like last night I seem to toss and turn all night

Same here. If I know I have to get up early then I can have real problems getting to sleep. Going to bed earlier does not help!

I've found that if I feel really tired in the evening and decide to just go straight to bed early I am wide awake again by midnight, but still tired.

At least I am sleeping now. Last year it would be many days without sleep each week leaving me a complete wreck.

Yup, that's me also. Though, some of my most creative work (official letters, VAT returns etc.) have been penned tapped out in the wee small hours.

At the moment its taking hours and I sleep for an hour and wake up. It's annoying as normally I read for about ten minutes and then just fall asleep.

I have a baby daughter. Even when my lights appear to be on, it doesn't mean I'm at home.
