Merry Christmas.

Well ive just been out for a quick cycle about, and im finding my head is getting really cold..... but if i wear a beanie under my brain bucket i look a knob.

How does everyone else keep their heads warm?

Are you wearing a woolie beanie?
They are useless. Hold too much sweat in and that goes cold, and dont block the wind.

Have a look at skull caps from gore, specialized and assos. Not cheap but worth it for regular cold rides.

Edit: some cycling specific woolie onesare suposed to be decent, I meant the £2 woolie ones off the market.

Edit 2: merry Christmas.

I got a cheap thin thermal scull cap that just covers my ears for Halfords (Dare2ware)

I didn't think it would do much, but its brilliant, and is thin enough to fit under the helmet with just the slightest adjustment

Goretex do a plastic mushroom cover, waterproof and wind proof. Won't cover the ears tho, I use polar buffs in winter and can layer them into a 4 layer beanie for when it's really really cold...but I don't wear a plastic mushroom.

A baseball cap under the cycle lid. Keeps the rain off the specs, and the sun out of the eyes. Practicality overrules fashion.
use a neck tube for the lower face.
