Not at all.
I would never advocate starting a slanging match or a fight but wouldn't back down if they wanted to go that route.

When a driver uses their horn to express their intent i blow them a kiss , usually stops any further contretemps
Thursday a driver who was parked on the other side of the road decided they could beat me to the gap to the car in front of us then instead of accelerating they dawdled as they put their seat belt on , i gave a shout so they pulled into the middle of the road to give me some mouth so i just shouted through the passenger window as i rode past " Try putting your seatbelt on before you drive off " and the silly bint ( sorry but if the stereotype fits ) didnt have enough wit to reply .

Bring it on, quite happy to die, eternal bliss got to be better than the **** I have had to endure, however more likely to have a car pull out from a left junction as I am approaching at speed or a bit less likely left hooked another head on whilst a car on the opposite carriageway overtakes a moving car at speed as it approaches me, these are things whilst you try and position against can still get you.

Road rage isn't real.
Sure it happens but its just an immediate venting of anger or ego. I truly believe that most people who act terribly in these situations, regret it later.
Its not how we really act...its not real
You just need to watch the Ronnie Pickering video to see how much we really just want it to end amicably.
Then there are the nutters, the very angry, the very unhinged, who are looking for an excuse to hurt another person. If they happen to be driving when they find that excuse, we call it road rage...its not.
I've seen my local florist screaming the most obscene hatred at another driver. When i mentioned it to her later she was mortified that Id seen her... that's road rage

The odd beep or close pass thar is met with two fingers or a fark off from me.
If someone does shout abuse I will give it back it's just in my nature I won't back down. It's probably not the best way or the right thing to do just my reactions.
Like I said if someone gets violent I would have to respond in kind I couldn't turn a blind eye I'd have to have a go. Stubborn and stupid yes probably but we are all different. Not trying to sound like a hard man I'm an average guy but it's not in my nature to back down especially if its not my fault.
