300km a week through London on a road bike.
Just ridden home past the local village shop, the usual pinch point.
No cars on my side of the road, 3-4 on the other side.
Coming through by the parked cars one pulled out on me. This was my right of way.
I shouted 'nice one'.
The window of the car was down...."f*** off......" (couldn't hear the next bit) yelled at me.

The car was a silver BMW 05 plate being driven by the lad who sold my lad his car the other week.
When I picked up the lads new car we were shown the new 05 plate BMW.

I went on fb messenger

'----, you sold the car to my lad, can I ask a quick question?'

'Yes mate'

'When we meet at the shop and I'm on my bike, if you pull out on me and it's my right of way will you not tell me to f*** off if I complain slightly?'

'I'm really sorry, it was my fault entirely. I shouldn't have done that'

'Never sh1t in your own nest, drive safely'

Hopefully he'll learn a lesson.
Now, name him and shame him.

Road rage doeant really happen to me either.

The odd beep or close pass thar is met with two fingers or a fark off from me.

If someone does shout abuse I will give it back it's just in my nature I won't back down. It's probably not the best way or the right thing to do just my reactions.

Like I said if someone gets violent I would have to respond in kind I couldn't turn a blind eye I'd have to have a go. Stubborn and stupid yes probably but we are all different. Not trying to sound like a hard man I'm an average guy but it's not in my nature to back down especially if its not my fault.

Agree with all that.. I'm the same.

Bring it on, quite happy to die, eternal bliss got to be better than the **** I have had to endure, however more likely to have a car pull out from a left junction as I am approaching at speed or a bit less likely left hooked another head on whilst a car on the opposite carriageway overtakes a moving car at speed as it approaches me, these are things whilst you try and position against can still get you.

Worst road rage i had recently was from another cyclist..... He was very serious looking, matching kit, shaved legs, very expensive bike. He pulled in front of me as I waited at some traffic lights... and who was I to be in his way? A weary rucksack laden scruffy oik on his way back from t'mill....

as he sped off in his very serious manner I realised he wasn't as fast as he kit suggested, in fact I could have easily overtaken him, but I was in no rush... as I cycled along in the rough cycle lane and he cycled just outside the rough cycle lane (probably very expensive tyres) I consciously stayed at least 5-6 bike lengths behind, we all know it's rude to draft a stranger, every so often he would look behind with a furious look on his face, see I was there and make a futile attempt to accelerate. This farce carried on for maybe 2 miles. As my right turn approached I pulled out into primary position accelerated up to speed with the traffic and sailed past him, as i got to my turn I waited patiently in the middle of the road to turn right (lots of oncoming traffic) as Mr serious road past I was the victim of a torrent of foul language and hand signals.... I retaliated with the pride obliterating belly laugh that he truly deserved.

With cars I just try to smile and wave. But the occasional bit of bad language escapes if it's an act that makes my adrenaline flow!

Waving frantically with the silliest smile you can manage on your face works for me. Confuse the twonk's two brain cells is my tactic.

I had another one today. Most unusual. Very rare that i get shite on the roads.
Absolute self-gratification artist in a White Range Rover with caravan overtook me with about a foot to spare.
I was dooing 26mph in a 30, obviously not fast enough for this daffodil. Unusually for me I shouted at him.
Most amusing thing was he may have got karma at the same time. There was a mobile speed camera up the road :hyper: which he hadnt seen, because he slammed on his brakes just after passing me :giggle:
