Approaching perfection from a distance.
To make sure you've ridden right through the finishing line it is obviously very important to continue at maximum speed across the fast approaching T junction. :stop:

Only do this, however, if you're convinced this will pretty much guarantee a KOM spot on your headstone.

Yes, it's clearly hooked on Strava too, poor thing...

I see a lot of cyclists like those on my commute home on a road / shared path mix, and unfortunately that video's spot on.

My neighbour (Recently into cycling) is a Strava bore, I keep having to listen to long monologues about this weeks time between point A and point B compared to last weeks and answer endless questions about how much it would improve next week if he got carbon wheels/frame/bars, different tyres, raised/lowered his saddle, changed his cleats etc etc.

Have you considered punching him?

Funny video, loved the jump through the map! I personally quite like Strava, mostly because if I went on a club ride without it I'd instantly forget the route and not be able to do it another time! I do just tend to set it going, put it in my pocket, and forget about it though - plus seeing natural speed gains on certain segments you ride often is always nice!

I think you have hit the nail on the head here.
Having just started to tentatively use it, it seems strikingly dull the amount of people that go out for three mile rides at a nice restful pace, then give it the beans on their 0.4mile segment.

Natural speed gains?

Each to their own though.
