Taking the biscuit
I'm utterly stunned.
Another great light goes out.

He stopped doing his programme a couple of weeks ago, talk about tying up loose ends.

Yep, I listened to his "last" show. Didn't think it would be his "last" ;)
Without wanting to appear crass...oh well, he seemed to have enjoyed himself.

Went to a gig of his a few years ago. It was a superb evening. At half time he signed a CD for me and we had a brief chat. A lovely fellow, a real gent. A great band leader and broadcaster.

shoot, didn't know that 'till now. Much saddened by the news...where will Samantha sit now? HL was one of the few people left who could make me cry tears of joy... I'll have one for sorrow now. Heaven is a merrier place tonight.

RIP Humph.

ISIHAC was (is) my favourite Radio 4 show - possibly my favourite radio show full stop - and in large part that was due to HL's wit. Very sad news.

I hope the show continues in due course, but hard to see another with his skill in that seat.
