Why are you looking for longer axles, your shoes and pedals look like most folks. Try them before you start looking for a problem that isn’t there.

I meant gouged by the spindle as it's tightened, separate reason to moving the pedals out. TA always insisted washers should be fitted.

Most (All ?) Aluminium crank arms I’ve owned recently have had steel inserts (That presumably sit very slightly proud on the outside / pedal mating face) - so gouging can’t occur. I’ve not suffered any at least…….
