Any info on the tyres that are on the bike would be appreciated - Hutchinson Cobras.
I've never heard of them and wondered if they are any good.
Any help ?

I'd like one of those too, but again, I don't really have space. It's the best bit of kit in the gym for someone of my build, and it's the only time I can humiliate all the muscle guys (all of whom can lift way more iron than me, but can't lift their own bodyweight).
Yes - I really liked the one in the local gym, which is why I bought mine.

Eventually I got so fat that I couldn't lift my own body weight any more and stopped using it, but I reckon I am getting to the size now where I would be ok with it again.

Oh, and I really like the look of your new bike, @ScotiaLass - have fun with it!

I did a search but there seemed to be so many variations and I couldn't find a proper review
Is it this bike? I can't even find the Nevada 1.4 on the Fuji website!

Anyway, according to the Evans spec you get 'Hutchinson Cobra, 29 × 2.1, 33 tpi', which can be found here in the top row of the '54-622' block. The only variations in that block are in threads per inch (tpi) which affects rolling resistance and puncture resistance, the bead type, and the weight. I'd suggest that any review of the 29x2.1 version will do.

Edit: This should be reasonably close to what you have http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/categ...iew-hutchinson-cobra-air-light-tyre-09-34169/

Yes, that's the one.
They seem like a decent tyre for the summer but I'll put something else on for next winter I think! Thanks for the info!

Hutchinson Tires have been around a while, since 1890's for bikes. They are French, and build some tires for defense industries. Had some Fusions once on a road bike, and thought they were very good tires. I have no idea how MTB tires would be, but had some on a BMX and thought they were great.
