I think he has become such a PIA for traffic in London that he may as well paint an aiming mark on his back.

I agree. The obsession he appears to have about his cameras and his persona suggests to me a troubled mind, although there's obviously a large slice of self publicising for his you tube channel going on I think you have to wonder whether the whole thing is a result of something rather more serious, hasn't he said it started after he had been knocked off? To label him as a "chump" or a "pratt" may well be dismissing rather crassly the signs that Traffic Droid has some deeply seated issues.

Did you watch the "Complainers" programme on Channel 4. TD was featured in episode 1. It gives you a good idea of the type of person he is and the issues he has to deal with. You can watch via catch up.

Does his YouTube channel have lots of advertisements on it? Maybe he isn't troubled at all, but very clever, he is trying to direct people to his channel. The only bad publicity is no publicity!

You may be right, I don't know the man, it would be interesing to hear from somebody here that does. However it strikes me that the level of his apparent obsession goes beyond what would be expected from somebody that didn't have issues. If he does have mental problems and the outlet for his expressing those problems is through his Traffic Droid persona then to suggest he is merely some sort of attention seeking fruitcake seems to me rather insulting if the man is struggling with his personal demons.

I don't know him and I do not see it as insulting at all, I have every right to question his motivation, if it is proven to be down to mental problems then I will understand (but not agree) with what he does. But if he is one of the modern fame hungry people that seem to be springing up everywhere then shame on him.

I think after his RTC that nearly killed him he may have PTSD or some sort of mental disorder, which means those calling him names really need to think about what they're doing. Disagree with him by all means, abusing him doesn't help anyone.

I agree with the OP. Regardless of whether you love or hate the Droid, you can't go around nudging cyclists with your taxi.
