I know most people here think as little of TD as I do...

I agree. The obsession he appears to have about his cameras and his persona suggests to me a troubled mind, although there's obviously a large slice of self publicising for his you tube channel going on I think you have to wonder whether the whole thing is a result of something rather more serious, hasn't he said it started after he had been knocked off? To label him as a "chump" or a "pratt" may well be dismissing rather crassly the signs that Traffic Droid has some deeply seated issues.

A well reasoned view, although I still maintain he's simply a chump.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then its pretty likely we have on our hands a small aquatic bird of the genus anatidae.

Does that make the driving acceptable?

I find it much nicer riding in and around London if you are just polite and say thankyou to car drivers that see you . It only takes a flick of the hand , much easier than getting a ruler out . I have found in life that some people really have sod all else to do so they go on a mission to make a point about anything they feel they want to at the time . This person seems to have found a small amount of fame on the internet so he will carry on doing it .
He stands to make quite a lot of money out of it if he gets enough clicks. When he was on CycleChat he certainly seemed to be very keen to get as many as possible from his many fascinating and humorous contributions to the community. I don't think he would have got enough to buy a new front stick thing from me though, let alone another AirZounds or a new batsuit.
I don't know, 2000+ views on this thread is certainly helping to raise TD's profile and is nicely aerating his Youtube channel too. Who knows, perhaps he'll be able to afford a HD 360° GoPro array and an even longer stick, thanks to CC.

Anyway, I'm sure he's grateful for the continued attention...

Maybe enough to get new batteries for his lights but I don't think he can retire on the earnings .

Yep youtube has created many millionaires. Trafficdroid as things stand his videos average about 500-1000 views each. He is making only a few pennies from youtube.

Can't see that anyone comes out well of that - TD is a bit of a fruitloop, but that cabbie (like a sizeable minority of them) thinks he owns the roads.

I disagree . Tonight I have been using youtube to learn this on guitar ...

Most of the music I play on guitar is from youtube and then google the song name for the chords/ tab . Its a lot more fun using it that way I find .

The big users make huge bucks from youtube. The average figure thrown around is about $1 per 1,000 views. If you think that there are people out there that have millions of subscribers, make lots of good content regularly and have regular viewers, they rack up the views and easily make a lot of money.

Now, in comparison, cycling videos aren't that popular, they get no where near as many views.

If you got a puppy doing something puppy like or a baby doing something baby like and intensely boring into your footage, then this might massively increase your hit rate and make you a milliwonaire.
