I find 50 is good figure. For someone not so fit it's about a 3 and a half hour ride which is long enough to get a good work out but not so long as to get boring.

My ultimate goal this year is to cycle to my Dad house ..The ride is about 70/80 miles from my home. I'm not taking it lightly though as he lives on the coast line of North West Wales and the roads out there are not exactly flat to say the least. My ride today was fairly flat in comparison so I think I've got a long way to go before i tackle the run out to my dad's. Cycling though is purely about one thing.. Freedom. We all have different angles as to why and what type of cycling makes us tick. People like to tour, race , commute, and off road. Some people spend £££££ while myself and others just spend pennys , but at the end of the day we all do it because of the freedom and flexibility it offers. There's so many different angles about cycling that makes this community so vibrant and alive.
