Tollers, a few of us have Muvi cameras which are £54.02 on Amazon. It's extra for fittings though, but not much. I actually found that through great recommendations on here, mainly by Thomas. A few of us on here have that particular model.

I'm really tempted to get some sort of helmet camera because i know something like this will happen to me eventually.
Do they all really cost £150?

Nope, got mine (with the expert help of Thomas) for way under that, it was about £80.

Lots of footage on my you tube page here if want to check quality (you tube compresses it all a bit, but I'm impressed)

click here for specifications and a link for the best deal at amazon

Nah, under £100 you can pick up something good! I'm in the process of making everyone on here buy a MUVI micro as I really like it. Click the link in my SIG for my review, got loads of videos and things...also, check out jonny jeez's youtube page as he has some nice long videos using the camera. (edit: didn't see jonny had already posted - he does have some really good videos though)

You're looking at around £80 I think, with muvi, sports pack and a new SD card.

The MUVI isn't waterproof though. That's the main drawback. Also look at the oregon ATC range of action cameras. They are pretty good and around the £100 mark. I have an Atc2000 which is pretty good. It's bulky but waterproof, but the picture quality is no where near as good as the MUVI.

I did too...sorry HC you must have been writing this as I was stuffing up the links above.

I got the cam, plus the sport pack (with additional mounts) and an uprated SD card (that Tomas was so right to recommend as the camera does not perform to its best without it) for less than £80.

It's not put a foot wrong yet and is tiiiiiiny...and very easy to use, download etc

Pretty much every cabbie in London drives well within touching distance when overtaking me – it seems to be “accepted practice” to leave just a couple of inches of clearance… and yes they do really hate it if you touch the vehicle. BTW – they get really irate if you just open the passenger door at the lights to ask them to give you a little more clearance next time and then leave it open as you cycle off waving goodbye!

I did actually ask him if he really wanted to start the day with an assault charge (sprang into my mind after reading about the van driver with the iron bar on here).

Well held there joebe!

Passive resistance and sensible communication wins again.

Also well done done for resisting giving the *** a parting shot.

* I admit that when I read the thread title I thought, 'How difficult is that?'!*

I feel on to the bonnet of a cabbie once (was about to have a clipless moment) the cabbie was nice about it so no worries

The Muvi is a badged MD80 - got the AEE MD80 for £23 shipped from HK. £13 for a Class 6 Micro SD from 7 day shop - sorted. Only thing you don't have is the helmet clip and velcro strips in the AEE package.

Not me, although it does seem slightly more manic than usual with the onset of the 'silly season' I'll repeat my mantra, take the badge/reg/plate (any of these) and REPORT the matter. Frankly amusing little ditties on forums will not solve this guys problem, while a trip to Tintangel House for a chat from the PCO might.

I also have to say the posters delight in getting into physical confrontation with another road user is frankly a little sad and displays a lack of maturity. Something that applies also to the driver, I am assuming they are both old enought to know better.
