So I'm happily on my way to work. I get to the traffic lights at the bottom of the London side of Shooters Hill and there's a red Seat car pulled up in the ASL. I filter down the side as usual and take primary as I know that across the junction the gap is quite narrow and I like it to myself. Lights change and there's a beep. I look behind to see driver of Seat indicating I should be pulled over against the kerb. I ignore him and cross the junction, once across I indicate to him to pull over but he ignores me. I have no idea why but this gave me the red mist and so I chased him down. Cycling alongside his driver's window I kicked off a bit at him asking what his "f****** problem was, why he couldn't learn to drive", the usual stuff. His passenger, (wife, girlfriend??) started mouthing off and he cut down a side road to lose me. She became very quiet when I chased them down the side road (persistent huh?). He eventually lost me and I carried on to work.

Got to New Cross and I was cut up by a black cab. I think I'd used up all my words for the day in the above incident and so I just growled into the cabbie's window. I think he thought I was mad.

Anyway just thought I'd get that off my chest. I've calmed down a bit now, strange how the red mist can descend on an otherwise pleasant day.

Sometimes we all get it mate. You're well ahead because you've realised there's a problem and are dealing with it. Have a cuppa and a biscuit and enjoy the rest of your day.

I've been there, but often when I look back I wish I hadn't of behaved they way I did as my riding is less safe as I take unescessary risks in the heat of the moment. But I do have a temper and sometimes I lose it. It's better to let it go over your head, but sometimes that's easier said than done.

Martin, chill...life really is too short to be chasing cars about the place for no good reason.

On my way home, the light suddenly came on. It's my lack of camera! I'm not carrying the video camera at the mo cos all it picks up are the brake lights and headlights (no number plates). I always said it kept me calm!!!

What an outburst! Enjoyed that (but it does make me think that the person in your signature is actually your friend and you aren't being ironic  )

Ha ha!! No he's not, honest. I can't provide a link from work but if you search fro Royal Standard on Youtube you'll see the video... it's amusing cos he's unfortunately not that tall whereas I top out at 6'6"...... (or I found it amusing anyway and mean no offense to any vertically challenged people on the forums.)
