Just to keep you interested, they also do a Ti frame for the Rove!Agreed

You do get a bike with the groupset for £1700...and I am sure Pearsons will upgrade if you ask nicely (they did for me)If we go out looking for girls we will be fine as I definately wont fancy yours bud lol
as said 1700 for claris?? Beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess
I'm biased because I already own a disk braked Kona, but IMO this is a much better looking bike, and cheaper too. £1399, STeel frame with chunky tyres too.

It is not a mass production model ultimately - they sell it in two shops and build each to order. Depends if having something like that is worth the premium. It was for me when I got the Pave. I've only ever seen one for sure on the road (about 4 miles from home), bearing in mind I live a mile from from their original shop...me and the other chap complemented each other on our bike choiceThe Pearson has a curve in the forks, so that wins for me. It does seem to be priced a tad high though.
It's a mass-produced frame though? I don't know much about the brand tbh.It is not a mass production model ultimately - they sell it in two shops and build each to order. I know the Shand Stoater is more, but they make a big thing about it being custom made. This seems like it's just a frame made in the far east for them - if not they need to make more of it being handmade in the UK!
I don't know. I expect it's made in batches to specific frame sizes. Perhaps the rear triangle is the same as another bike, but with more or less excess trimmed off. A full Stoater build is about £2,500 I think, but that is a frame built literally to order (and it's 853)Who else uses the same frame? I expect it's not that 'mass produced' (which to me means in large quantities) even if it is made in the Far East. It's not a Giant Defy.
How much is the Shand Stoater as a fully built bike? £1700?
It's ok, but as ^^^^ the Genesis Croix de Fer offers better vfm.
I would prefer a Shand Stoater if cost was not an issue.
Rack braze ons are visible in the mag picture.I must be missing something. It claims to be a fully equipped tourer, but no rack?
The photography's crappy, too. I can't tell if it's supposed to be pale green, or white with a funky filter on it. Did they use an iPhone?
