I weep for humanity

Just saw a dude* driving through a busy town centre one-way system in a white blingy sports car, mirror shades, music blaring, one hand on the steering wheel, the other ..holding a hookah pipe :eek:with the brass water filled base filling the well of the passenger seat.

That's it. I'm calling time on the human race. We've had a good run so let's not ruin it by dragging out the inevitable.

*might have been a bro, actually

Young men with money have always been nobbers, it's just the way they show it that changes. Try being in the West End of London late any evening and you will see them displaying their stupidity and misplaced superiority.

I can only imagine he’s on his sports car forum saying he saw some Lycra clad helmet warrior cycling down the street in the blazing sunshine.

Different strokes for different folks.

Oh, it's much worse than that. I was on foot, in jeans and - I'm not kidding - this shirt

What's that at the top? Something with a tail, looks like a toaster. On fire.

Perhaps a new take on hi-vis. Better than the conventional, I suppose.

Edit to add: is this an excuse to add our pictures of unusual clothing choices?

I think that is what it is. It's from a great Australian and (and thank you Wikipedia) New Zealand artist, Reg Mombasa, whose works include that great Australian band Mental As Anything - he's the guitarist with the hair over his eyes.

I wasn't hit by any cars. So that's a good day, by my accounting and recent experience.

No, it wasn't my intention to mention my kit - though there are so few days in the UK that are warm enough to justify it, that I do like to take the opportunity. But I realised that if I am critiquing someone else's style, I have to be honest about my own.

'Live it up' hit the UK charts in 1987. Played at many parties. Just found it on youtube and was immediately transported back to my teens :-)

That mambo shirt artwork is also very familiar from various surfing holidays over the years. Pretty sure I've seen them in the shops in Polzeath.
