I love it when I decide to race a bloke and beat them to every single lights until they decide they have to start running reds. It's basically the reason I cycle.

When commuting I check six for time triallers. Once spotted you know they're gonna bust a gut to catch you, so I let them knacker themselves with the chase, then just as they're close enough to see my mudguards and lights I open the taps to hold them otff as long as possible while I'm fresh. It narks them off rather a lot.

Some go harder to get up hills - some of those like climbing hills, some hate it and just want to get it over with. Some even slow down when descending. Some are striving to maintain an even cadence or heart rate, regardless of speed. Some strive for an even speed regardless of terrain or drag. Some are taking it easy, others are pushing themselves to the limit.

Some think they know who's who...
... and what they're thinking!

Oh I laughed today...a chap on some really ugly cannondale bike with TT bars (and oddly flat pedals and trainers) got stopped by a PCSO after RLJing across CS7. The PCSO was as obvious as an obvious thing in fluoro and bike helmet and was evidently stood there simply to stop RLJers...as I cycled past I heard 'red lights apply to cyclists too', the Wally had already been debating the point for a couple of minutes while the rest of us waited for green.

I didn't get to ask him if he'd been ticketed as he went past me further on...more's the pity...oh I hope he had been, muppet

Yeah they've been out in force on my commute this week - very very silly running red when they're out, especially as you say, they are so obvious.

I've only had this a couple of times. First day in the bike some guy told me my bike was shoot (Triban 3) and that he had saddles more expensive than it. I think his mate quickly realised I was not impressed and made a joke of it. I've had a couple of people since then bust a gut to get past me and disappear in front only for me to pass them shortly later after they run out of steam.

I also like when I pull up behind cyclists in all the gear and they try to pull away and i can stick with them. It annoys them greatly.
