If you could move anywhere in UK where would you move too?

I’d probably stay where I am. Plenty of decent rides and hills and close enough to civilisation for supplies, bike bits etc.

Anywhere where she wanted to go.

I quite fancy somewhere remote with the sheep baa ing but yet easy enough to ride / drive into a market town.

Any suggestions?

North Yorkshire Moors. Pickering, Kirkbymoorside or Helmsley.

I was thinking about this and the places that comes to mind are SW and North east.
Or perhaps mid Wales.

Why.

Climate, friendly people, stress free living.

Does anyone else got the urge to go AWOL?!

Has anyone done it!!

Wow I feel this ATM. Northern Scotland fits the bill as far away from "freind's and family" as possible. They don't care about me so why should I care about them?

No matter where you are, your problems will follow.

You can run, but you cannot hide, so moving will not really change anything.

People told me that a couple of times: that "Leaving is hiding" and that the problem was me, not the situation, so the problem would "follow" me.

Turns out they were wrong. On occasion the people telling me this, were the problem: as soon as I was away from them, things improved. On another occasion the very place itself was the issue: it turns out I don't get on well with cities. Fortunately I have skills in demand in rural Germany so I could do something about that. It also turned out that in some cases, the people claiming I was the problem were trying to hide their own bullying or manipulative behaviour by pushing the blame for the symptoms onto me.

I'm not saying that I had (or have) no issues to deal with, but it's remarkable how much easier it is to deal with underlying problems once other, more obvious stress factors are removed.
