If our influence went into the Boston Harbor along with the tea, why are your houses still described as Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian?

The context was originally political influence, then I went on a slight tangent as per my modus operandi. Speaking of Love Actually, it would not surprise me if there are Americans who think that Hugh Grant, having overcome that bit of embarrassment over Divine Brown and perhaps even grown as a person, was indeed prime minister for a while.
