You're not pissing yourself, are you? Sorry, joking there ;)
I've given up the hunt for the ear plugs. A peg for my nose is now the main priority(ha ha!!!!)

Get well soon, if you are going to be stuck in hospital for a long time let me know and I should be able to send up an ancient laptop you can use. Has the hospital got wifi?

Sorry to hear you are immobilised and restricted for a while. I wish you a speedy mend and hope you find interesting things to keep you busy and help the time to hurtle by. (And it does - look how quickly the school summer holidays went). Before you know it there will come that unseasonably sunny and warm November morning when, all being well, you'll be able to go for a steady pootle somewhere with a nice slice of cake awaiting you as a reward.

Yikes - heal soon!

Don't sue anybody but do talk to the rider involved if you think he needs to change the way he rides and make an official complaint to the hospital if you are unhappy with your treatment.

Are they giving you heparin shots to reduce your chances of picking up a blood clot when immobilised? If you can get up and move about, make sure that you do every now and then.

I had problems sleeping due to the noise when I was in hospital. As for pee ... it wasn't the smell that bothered me, it was stepping off the bed and standing in a pool of it! I did that twice. The man in the next bed actually spent most of his time trying to sleep in his bedside chair. He'd doze off while peeing into a bottle, drop it, and thereby create a pee lake between our beds!

Look on the positive side. Now we're in September the cycling season in Accrington is practically over until next June anyway
Unfortunately, the window cleaning season doesn't end for months yet though!

"Mr Happy" the consultant has rollocked me for moving about, saying I should keep still for 2 months! Seeing as they haven't offered me any anti clotting jabs I think it's best if I keep mobile. I wish they'd give me some anti depressants. I'm starting to have dodgy thoughts and dreams!

I think he means no right leg movement for 2 months. They might be at the top of the tree when it comes to fixing broken bones etc but not very clued up when it comes to other things.
