I'm not going to work today !

It's Monday and this is my first time taking a scheduled day off this year. I'm not one for taking time off and I haven't even taken a vacation in six years. I love what I do and always look forward to going into work. But all good things come to an end and today I had to be home for the plumber I hired to do some work that I'm not comfortable doing. So while he's doing his thing I'm putting in a new light fixture in the kitchen, and painting the front stair railings. Oh ya I even cleaned several bikes in the bike cave. Once he finished I put the sheet rock back up and mudded it. Hey wait it's only 10:30am I could still go in to work for a few hours, wait the trail bike is all clean and ready for some fun. So I guess the trails won that one, and it was off for 3 hours and 18 minutes of backyard fun. Now that was a good productive Monday.

I'm the Operations Manager for a giftware company (dog, cat, and animal figurines). I also do the design work for new products, so I get to be creative.

Can't believe you even considered going into work. I've got 8 days holiday to use up between now and the end of the month.
