I think it is to warn the rider about a(n even scarier) hazard ahead! Either that, or to warn spectators to get out of the way quick...
I wasn't sure whether it was to signal route clear, hazard, or get out of the way.

I've lost access to a few things as a result but I managed to port most emails to gmail
Didn't use it for much, mainly customer services, account, when I could use it.
Still better than EE though.

I was thinking that too... The last thing I would be doing is talking - screaming, yes! :laugh:

They MUST let them go down on foot to check the course beforehand? I can't believe that a rider could work out which way to go with only a fraction of a second to decide once they got to some of those technical turns and jumps.

I think the whistling is to warn that a bike is coming and to clear the path.
Keeping such a long track clear must be a logistical nightmare.
