I feely incredibly lucky to have a wonderful wife and gorgeous baby daughter.

We tied the knot to simplify utility bills, and to have a bit of a laugh.
Is that what you call having a gas? ^_^

I notice a lot of us have been in long-term relationships but aren't married or left it a long time to get married. We tied the knot to simplify utility bills, and to have a bit of a laugh.

We had been together 18 years and engaged for 17 when we got married. We had just not found the right way of doing it, neither of us wanting the big 'family do'. However, when I got knocked off my bike and ended up with a substantial wedge of unexpected cash we decided to blow a good chunk of it on a very special wedding with just us present.

Me and my good lady have been together over 14 years and married for 11 of them.We have four girls and it has been a blast,we hardly ever grumble at each other which sometimes makes me wonder if we are normal  We are good for each other.
Some real nice long marriages and partnerships on here, something to be proud of in this day and age :wahhey:

Excellent! We only gave our families two weeks notice when we got married.

How long did you both stand there before you remembered you ought to have asked a vicar as well?

I think it says something about NT and I, that the first wedding details we firmed up were lists of food we wanted at the reception!

I think we work well together. Alike in some ways, not in others, nothing we can't work round. I like to cook, he's a demon washer-upper. Not even the dog thing is a problem, I like big smooth ones too!

Introducing the bloke in charge of the entire island who did the honours. Yes, he did used to play rugby for the Fiji National Team.
