Sounds like it will make a lovely Bloody Mary!
I just tried this using the Nigel Slater recipe (roughly) and it's divine. This is my first ever Bloody Mary but I likes it!

I've started growing some cayenne peppers/chilies and ran out of pots half way through repoting

I love anything hot. Whenever I go to a pizzeria, I ask for the hottest pizza plus extra chillies. And at any one time we have a big jar of red and green chillies.
When we have curry, I always have a vindaloo.

It has bee a while since we had hot sauce in the house because the last one went off. But I remember once we got a takeaway pizza from Pizza Hut and because I said that I liked mine hot, they gave us half a bottle of Tabasco sauce for free.

I regularly get a bag of chilli nuts from Aldi too. I really like them.

Pah! Amateur!
I would have hotter but normal shops dont sell much.

In comparison with my mum who thinks that a Korma is hot, I have quite sturdy taste buds.
Right. Just made some hot sauce. First time I've cooked some. Here's what I did.

Twelve large green chiillies
4 cloves of garlic
3 tsp of sugar
some black pepper
4 tsp of red chilli
bit of salt

In pot, just enough left over pickled onion white vinegar to cover, bring to boil, simmer for 15 mins.

Then blend with half a can of tomatoes and 5 large tsp of Patak's mixed pickle.

It looks like brown paste now. Not tasted it yet but I think it will be tangy, savoury and head-blowing-offie.

More recipes here, by the way, from 2009.

Do you fancy trading with some of mine?
Not worked. Not hot enough. I think the chillies were too weak. Tasted more like regular pickle, so will try again on Saturday with better green chillies, and more red chilli powder, and less pickle and tomatoes.
Could still be great on cheese.
