ahhhh. why do you always think you have way too much with you? I should not have weighed the panniers.

A solo, unsupported camping tour - my first solo tour. Tent, trangia, 2 days food, (I'm allergic to dairy and can't eat out), nebuliser, only my small camera, a little clothing, a few bike spares, wash kit and I'm ready for the off.

All I need to do is to remember to attach the map case and fill up the water bottles in the morning.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
Keep to the path. Beware the moon.

Sound Fantastic... Touring alone something I have never considered
Until now .. Enjoy your Trip

Not straying too far off topic....

It is different, losing the responsibility for other people, being able to set your own timetable, route and vary as yo feel....it is an enlightening experience

All the best for SSSO for the trip.

.. and remember if you want to lighten the load you can always send the washing home!!!

err... not sure I have enough to send home... 1 set of track suit bottoms, 1 set of lycra longs, 1 normal bra, 1 merino wool top, 2 set of knickers, 1 set of socks, waterproof top & bottoms & 'a fleece' (in addition to what is being worn - socks, sports bra, lycra shorts, lycra top, biking shoes). that's it for the 9 or 10 days I'm gone.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

:laugh: surprisingly enough you won't need to go and catch your own food each night. We have shops like lidl, morrisons, tescos, co-op, so you will be well supplied with all manner of good fair, so fear not.^_^

now all I have to do is walk into the supermarket with my laden bike and see what the response is. Have yet to work out how you do shopping with a bike & kit you can't leave!

Ah. That I can't help, you with. All I can say is good luck. I must admit, I went into my local co-op the other week, and someone had left theyre Brompton inside folded in a corner, and no one minded.
