The shark on 'The Jaws' poster is not a great white. It's a much smaller shortfin mako.

Chris, my dear fellow; we obviously heard the same R4 prog* about the "Sharkiverse" of films. I cannot believe you couldn't find a more egregious plot-hole in the other 140 shark films. Your example isn't even IN the film - whereas most of the films contravene physics and biology every 10minutes!

*https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002d9cl - a most entertaining listen!

Oh hang on - only just seen your earlier post about the movie "Shark Zone" :P https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/inconsistencies-or-plot-holes-in-films.291642/post-7554621

I'll leave the roaring sharks to you then.

Let's just say that the depiction of computers in films and on telly was not exactly accurate at that time!!!

War Games was brilliant. WOPR - a giant car sized computer with various flashing coloured lights with engineers walking around it with clipboards looking serious.

And I think it has got worse since then.

I can't recall the name of the film (it could have been a series), but the plot revolved around a nutcase leaving clues to people he was killing, and the smart woman working them out to try and save the victims.

They deduced one clue must refer to sign language and therefore the victim must be deaf, which turned out to be accurate when they found her sealed in a windowless, air tight box with limited air time.

As they discovered her, they shouted for her to stay calm as they were there to save her, and that she should stop screaming to preserve her air. The deaf lady totally complied.

Maybe she could lip read?
