underpants and socks.

If you can't wear normal deodorant, you could try an Alum block, the blocks are normally used for closing cuts after shaving but are also excellent as a natural antiperspirant, wet the block apply to your wet pits and it'll last all day and best of all it has no smell, and also a block will last you a year.

i must say that does look more suitable than normal stuff but the antiperspirant part doesn't sound to good as sweating is only good for you in my opinion/so far as i have heard?
How about a pannier rucksack thing? Something like this? I'm not sure about the merits of any one particular model as I've never used one, but I'd definitely look into it if I had to carry my stuff about all day. Plus this one has a laptop section which will give your computer a safe home as well.
have seen a few of those but the problem is that is the only one that looks like a normal rucksack where as the rest i have seen are just a pannier with a couple straps....and the one linked is out of stock
I wonder why the OP came asking for advice if hes stubborn and does what he like anyway
Fuggedaboutit !
stubborn when it's something i know is right or i have no need to change but asking for advice about something i am uncertain on then i am more than happy to listen to people with genuine ideas or knowledge such as when asking about panniers and getting stuff to and from school

it works by tightening the pores not blocking them as an antiperspirant would and it also has antiseptic properties which kill the bacteria that causes the smell, as sweat alone does not smell it's the bacteria that lives off the sweat that smells.

If you're getting a cheap pannier maybe think about getting a rolltop 'drysac' type thing to put your clothes in, cheap panniers are unlikely to be waterproof. You can normally get functional ones in places like mountain warehouse.

Me I use a waterproof rucksack for my 40 mile loop in

Fair enough, you wanted a rucksack ;) The Vaude one from Evans was probably double that
already got a rucksack i am happy enough with but just need to get my stuff to and from school without having it on my back

Why not bungee your rucksack securely to a pannier rack?

yes I use it, the crap that goes into those cans is shocking, I did try a homemade one from baking soda, coconut oil and arrowroot, mixed all together, it's amazing as it lasts 24hours but for some people it irritates your armpits after a few hours,I was one of them, could only wear it for around 6 hours before it started stinging, maybe if I had tried it for more than 2 days it would have been fine?shame as it was really good but the alum block is more than enough.

You can buy the same sort of thing as the alum blocks from places like holland and barrett, they are in those roll on type of deodorant bottles, but for me the block works fine, and works out cheaper.

been thinking about it and will try it when i get the time but i'm just worried i will never get it properly secure and also so much faff fiddling about with bungee straps at school and home so putting it on at home in the morning then taking it off and back on at school and then off again at home would mean 4 times a day and for up to 200 miles a week it's just worth getting a tenner pannier off ebay IMO

awesome! normal stuff doesn't irritate arm its or anything just i simply can't breathe where it has been sprayed for a few minutes so when ever my bro's spray it in the bath room i always leave it a few mins before entering and i am always quick getting changed after pe in school etc
anyway, i will get a block of that alum stuff then THANKS!

same here, my brother uses that awful Links stuff, and sprays it for ages.

just remember to apply the Alum when your armpits are still wet after washing and run the block under the tap too, works best that way, then just leave the block to air dry.

So after chucking abuse at me Ed is now considering a pannier, remind me never to answer any of his posts again as i have better things to do than get a gobful .
