Following on from Sandra6's Cycling in the rain thread, what if any exercises do you do or recommend that compensate for being unable to do the real thing, apart from the obvious bike trainers?
I sometimes use a 6.5kg weight and a chair. It's a bit primitive but i find that sticking the weight in a strong rucksack then stepping on and off a chair for half an hour strengthens my legs and gets the heart racing which is what we do while cycling right?
It's also very boring so doing it in front of the telly or listening to the radio helps. If i'm feeling full of energy i'll do the half an hour in one
, though it's usually in three stages with a minute or so in between.
