I am 67 years old and in great physical shape. I want to purchase an e bike to ride some of the old places I used to visit. I live in the Appalachian mountains in the highest place in Pennsylvania. I would like to ride from 10 to 20 miles. Will an Ancheer 350 watt 10.5 amp hour bike be sufficient for starters? Thanks for any help anyone can spare.

Yes probably on low setting, if you're a lightweight rider.

If heavy then look at 750W crank motor with a 48/52 Volt battery and 13 to 17 Ampere hour capacity

Here is a review. https://www.bikeride.com/ancheer-350w-electric-mountain-bike/

Lots of climbing and a powerful motor will really eat the battery, so it depends how far you want to go.

The Ancheer bike has a relatively small battery.

Using its power, you could easily flatten the battery in 15/20 miles in hilly conditions.

Because you're in the states, buy a 750W capable ebike. Get the largest battery available, you will then get 30-40 miles of hilly riding.

This all depends on your budget. If you want a truly capable ebike the look at something like these https://bakcou.com/

Or if you want to convert a bike you own look at eco-bike.com

The TSDZ2 is a powerful cheap conversion

Thanks for in the input. I am just starting out on the e bike so my rides will be probably 20 miles max for now. I will take your information into consideration when I purchase an e bike. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. Can you buy a bigger battery for the Ancheer or are they merchandise specific?

Some of the batteries look to be generic Chinese, but you may only be able to get a similar sized replacement.

More importantly, while in UK terms Ancheer ebikes are cheap, they are also nasty contraptions I wouldn't touch at any price.
