I wasn't sure where to post this so went for here. If it is to be moved then please feel free to do so Mods.

Three club mates of mine decided to ride from just outside Perthshire to Bealach Na Ba in a day. It was this summer. It was a glorious day. It was in one of the most beautiful countries in the world so the scenery is amazing. The video is very professional and the music very fitting. I personally found the whole video very uplifting and inspiring. For this reason i am sharing it as i think it shows what is great about riding a bike with friends in beautiful surroundings. It just makes me want to grab my bike and ride until i can't anymore.

They travelled around 220 miles and finished up the Bealach Na Ba in the dark.

Hope you enjoy and feel free to share if that is your liking.

Pedro.

330 km, THEN a climb up the Bealach na Ba in the dark?
Nutters!! Impressive though .
Excellent video too.
As the start point was Inchture, did they manage a carb laden breakfast at The Horseshoe? One of the best greasy spoons in the country!

Lol, i go past there often and it is full of truckers. It was a 5:30am start for the guys so i doubt they made it there. Probably loaded up on good ol Porridge and banana. :hungry:

Thanks to all who have watched it too. It really makes me want to go out and do something nuts like this. My biggest ride of 2014 was Crieff to West coast and back via GlenCoe and Oban. It was 172 miles and i can freely say that after 130 miles things were not as pleasant as the above video may portray! Those guys would have been in a world of hurt. Mostly body aches and saddle sores. Those kind of distances the saddle becomes more of a pizza slicer than a piece of comfort.

I for one applaud the effort.

Great video, couldn't help thinking someone had gone to hell of effort to make such a well made video, for what was essentially 3 regular guys on a long bike ride. Fantastic effort by all involved.

Excellent achievement and a great video: very motivational.

The lure of the open road is hard to resist.

I bet they won't be doing that again for a while.

Plans for more of the same in 2015. I've said if they up the challenge i'll maybe join in.

Perhaps cycle back the next day.

I just got a pain in the backside thinking about it............

What stands out is how, in a place where there is so little traffic, a cyclist really owns the road as much as any other user.

Stunning scenery, the shot at 5.55 made me come over all nostalgic for Scotland.

When the weather is that good Scotland really is stunning! Try predicting the weather in "sunny" Scotland though............

:rain::cold::sun::snowball:

The above easily experienced in one day.

Nice video. I have lots of good rides this year, many at 100 miles plus but none of them have been proper epics like the one in the video. Need to remedy that next summer!

Guy i know did the climb on a fixed wheel with a few of his mates last year.

I'll watch that when i get wifi later. I done it this year with a cracking headwind and a standard double chainset. I refuse to do it again without a tailwind and a compact. ;)
