one of the best mashed spud dishes I've tasted was in Kefalonia* - some mashed potato & garlic concoction which tasted like it was 50% garlic! from what I could establish fro the waiter, raw garlic was used, they didnt namby pamby around roasting it first.

(*served on other Greek islands too!)

Gnocchi are also a good way of using up leftover mash. As is potato bread. :hungry:
I’ve just returned from the Stocks Inn near Wimborne where I met with a few ex colleagues for lunch and a natter. They had the usual seasonal fare, I started with Bruschetta, had Gnocchi with garlic bread and an excellent salad followed by treacle pudding with custard. All washed down with a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord followed by a large glass of Rioja.
